Ruha Matin

Area Director

Ruha is the Area Director for Central Texas, where she leads the business plan execution, overall performance, and system standards of the schools under her management.

Since 2008, Ruha has cultivated valuable relationships with authorities, philanthropic organizations, and civil society entities while overseeing programs and operations focused on socio-economic development, sustainability, and education. She has previously worked with the United Nations Office for Project Services, the embassy of Guatemala, the Bahá’í World Centre, and the UN’s Sustainable Energy for All.

In 2019, Ruha has been a site level and multi-site level leader in early education, with a continued mission to impact the children and improve livelihoods. She has developed expertise in Spanish immersion and Montessori programs.

Ruha has a bachelor’s and Graduate Degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution from NUR University in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. In her spare time, Ruha, her husband, and their toddler find joy in traveling, relishing music festivals, and dancing with a carefree spirit, reminding us all to embrace the moments that make life truly memorable.
